2XKO's latest patch, version 1.3.3, arrives on October 27, 2026, and it's a big one. Samira makes her stylish debut, Sett—the team's labor of love—joins the fight, and both champions are free to play from day one. Beyond the new faces, the patch delivers fresh single-player content, a reworked Casual Lobby leaderboard, matchmaking tweaks, and a hefty list of bug fixes. Whether you're climbing the ranks or just throwing down with friends, there's something here for every fighter.
Samira and Sett Enter the Arena
Samira brings her signature flair to 2XKO, while Sett—a former no-name pit fighter who now owns the arena he once fought in—rounds out the roster as a grappler-brawler hybrid. Sett's kit revolves around explosive, chainable grabs that can KO opponents in a flash. Both champions are available to play for free starting October 27, and you can check out Sett's gameplay trailer and champion spotlight to see why he's called The Boss.
The Climb Gets New Chapters and Augments
The single-player mode, The Climb, expands with new chapters in the Tales of 2XKO. Select Samira or Sett when you queue up to experience their side of the story. The mode also adds champion augments tailored to each fighter's kit, giving you fresh ways to approach your next ascent. Plus, The Climb is now playable in Offline mode—just note that offline play won't progress your quests for unlocking chromas and avatar items.
Leaderboard and Matchmaking Overhaul
With Ranked disabled, the team heard your feedback about wanting a way to show off your skills. The Leaderboard now updates based on Leaderboard Points (LP) earned in the Casual Lobby. Players gain or lose LP based on match results, and the Leaderboard displays players with 2900+ LP in the current lobby. If no one meets that threshold, it falls back to win streaks. LP gains and losses won't appear on the post-match screen, but the lobby Leaderboard updates almost immediately. You can check your rank via Main Menu > Profile.
LP also drives matchmaking in the Casual Lobby, pairing you against opponents of similar LP. The system rewards upsets: beating a higher-rated player earns more LP, while losing to a lower-rated player costs more. The more unexpected the result, the larger the LP change. To keep the Leaderboard fresh, LP decay kicks in after 14 days of inactivity, dropping 25 LP per day down to a minimum of 2800 LP. Playing again stops the decay and resets the timer.
Matchmaking now offers two priorities. Hitting "Find Match" optimizes for speed above all else, while queuing through Training Mode at a cab prioritizes match fairness. Both options feed into the same queue, but your matchmaking priorities are weighted differently. The team hopes this, combined with the Leaderboard updates, keeps the Casual Lobby lively while giving players control over how they want to play.
Quality of Life and Bug Fixes
A new "Input Delay" option has been added under Settings > Gameplay > Input, applicable only to offline modes. For PC offline play, the default of 3 frames of latency is recommended. Launching online Training mode now loads your latest offline Training settings, and the Casual lobby gets a spooky new look that will change periodically going forward.
The patch also squashes numerous high-impact bugs, including:
- Limit Strike now properly grants its bonus when defeating the opponent's second champion.
- Tag Launcher's hitstun frame discrepancy in combos without launches has been fixed.
- Corner cross-ups after Break or Getup Attack are no longer possible.
- Break/Fury Break hitstun now behaves consistently for both players.
- Teching a throw no longer removes 2 seconds from your Teamfight timer.
- Fury's Eject no longer behaves differently based on stage side or usage count.
- Random counterhit settings now function correctly.
Additionally, a crash caused by rapid pausing/unpausing in online Training mode has been resolved, along with a bug that spammed a directional key after exiting the Lobby menu.
