Invictus Gaming secured their third Demacia Cup title on January 3, 2026, with a dominant clean sweep victory over JD Gaming in the finals.

Invictus Gaming concluded the Demacia Cup on January 3 with a commanding performance, clean sweeping JD Gaming to claim their third title in the competition, following previous victories in 2014 and 2018. The win was particularly impressive as iG fielded two substitutes in midlane and support positions while facing JDG's full-strength roster. Throughout the tournament, iG demonstrated exceptional form, securing a 3-1 victory over Top Esports followed by consecutive clean sweeps against LNG and JD Gaming. JD Gaming's newly constructed roster, built around the mid-jungle duo of Tsai and another player, gained valuable competitive experience despite the finals loss. iG's tournament run showcased their strength as a team, though they were eliminated at Worlds 2025 in the Play-In stage by eventual six-time world champions T1. Despite the early exit, iG was recognized as one of the toughest opponents T1 faced at Worlds, with players and coaches noting their difficulty in scrims. The Demacia Cup victory provides momentum heading into the LPL Split 1, which begins on January 14, 2026, where major teams will compete at full or near-full strength.
