LCP unveils full 2026 format ahead of Split 1

Esports Insider
The LCP has announced its 2026 format, featuring a knockout stage with double-elimination brackets and BO5 matches for the championship.

The League of Legends Pacific Championship (LCP) has unveiled its complete 2026 format as it prepares for Split 1. The new format includes a structured playoff system where the top six teams from the regular season advance to the Knockout Stage. The Knockout Stage utilizes a double-elimination bracket format, ensuring that teams have a second chance after their first loss. All matches in the Knockout Stage are best-of-five (BO5) series, which provides extended competition and allows teams to demonstrate their adaptability and depth across multiple games. This format change aims to create more competitive integrity and exciting matchups as teams battle to determine the regional champion. The double-elimination structure is designed to reward consistency while still allowing for dramatic comebacks and ensuring that the best teams have multiple opportunities to prove themselves.
