Riot Games has kicked off the first-ever League Classic community poll, inviting players to directly influence the direction of this nostalgic game mode. Through a series of questions, the dev team aims to gather player sentiment on key gameplay elements and make binding decisions based on the community's voice. The poll is now live in the League client under 'The Council' tab and will remain open for seven days, from August 26 through September 2.

How the Poll Works

The League Classic community poll is designed to be inclusive and transparent. Players can answer each question, skip ones they don't have an opinion on, and change their answers anytime before the poll closes. Every point of voting power translates to one vote per question, ensuring that dedicated players have a stronger voice. After voting ends, the results will be published in the Patch Notes, keeping everyone informed about the community's preferences.

This first poll covers several critical aspects of League Classic, from match pacing to item availability and map mechanics. Here are the main topics and their corresponding questions:

  • Game Length: Players can rate whether games feel too short, too long, or just right, and indicate their preferred maximum game length (30, 40, 50, or 60 minutes).
  • Item Revivals: The community votes on bringing back Zz'Rot Portal, Cloak and Dagger, and Moonflair Spellblade. Any item that scores over 50% will be added, including the 'All 3' option.
  • Jungle Timers: Players choose between modern timers always visible on the minimap, timers only when the scoreboard is open, or keeping the current minimap.
  • Base Gates: Introduced in Season 5 to help defending teams, players vote on whether to keep or remove base gates.
  • Snowball Effect: The poll asks if games feel too snowbally, not snowbally enough, or just right.
  • Ward Trinkets: Players share whether they like the ward trinkets in Classic gameplay.
  • River Critters: A new addition—two critters will be placed in the river (top and bottom). Players choose the pairing, with the first option being top and second bottom.
