Riot Games has dropped 2XKO Patch 1.2.3, arriving on June 9, 2026, with a hefty focus on reining in the Teamfight Fuse—the explosive mechanic introduced in the last patch that has proven too dominant in high-level play. Alongside core gameplay tweaks, the update brings a wave of Pool Party skins, the return of a competitive-themed bundle, and a host of bug fixes. Here’s everything you need to know.
Teamfight Fuse: A Major Rework
The Teamfight Fuse, while offering explosive offensive potential, has created a high-risk, low-reward environment for defenders. In top-tier matches, the ability to tag in a second champion to parry or block Break activations proved too oppressive, straying from the Fuse’s intended identity. Patch 1.2.3 introduces several changes to sharpen decision-making and add more counterplay options.
Offensive Adjustments to Teamfight
Teamfight now scales with meter investment, requiring players to commit more resources for extended durations:
Teamfight can spend up to 6 bars of meter (3 per champion), with duration tied to meter spent: 2 bars = 5 seconds, 4 bars = 10 seconds, 6 bars = 15 seconds.
Meter cost is shared between Assist and Point champions; if one has 3 bars and the other 1, only 2 bars total are used (1 each).
Teamfight always activates at the highest possible level—you cannot choose a lower activation.
Recovery frames increased from 5 to 12 frames, reducing the viability of using Teamfight defensively (e.g., into parry).
Defensive Adjustments and Counterplay
To make Teamfight less one-sided on defense, Riot has introduced several key changes:
Teamfighting champions can no longer block or parry an opponent’s Break activation—applies to both Point and Assist during Teamfight.
Successfully parrying a Teamfighting champion now immediately ends Teamfight, rewarding high-risk parries with significant advantage.
Attacking a Teamfighting champion reduces its duration by 2.5x faster, punishing prolonged Teamfight usage.
Other Core Gameplay Tweaks
Beyond Teamfight, Patch 1.2.3 polishes several fundamental mechanics:
Jump input priority adjusted: diagonal inputs now take precedence over up when pressing a diagonal before a jump (Akali’s double-jump unaffected).
Break Bonus generation resets if Fury expires while being comboed, preventing immediate Fury regain.
Infinite block stun protection added for aerial blocks: after 4 seconds of continuous blocking in the air, both attackers are automatically pushblocked.
Match intros now auto-skip in rematches if both players skipped the initial intro.
Bug Fixes and Known Issues
Riot has addressed several pesky bugs:
Fixed: Tag Launcher could be used twice in a sequence if starting with a Tag Launcher.
Fixed: Handshake Tag could occur on the frame of a successful parry.
Fixed: Hurtboxes distorted after performing a Break mid-air.
Fixed: Spectating resolution issues, PlayStation 5 Rest Mode audio bugs, and 2XKO not appearing correctly.
Fixed: Stage selection timeout freezing, persistent loading screens, and opponents landing face-up after wall slump.
Known issues include Thresh’s forward dash frame meter being misleading (he can jump/block on frame 19, act on frame 23), a freeze on lowest settings with Intro Bots, and Senna’s Wraith Assist visual bug. The Blood Moon: Sacrificial Rite finisher remains disabled due to a bug, with a temporary price reduction in bundles.
New Cosmetics and Bundles
Patch 1.2.3 launches a summer-themed cosmetic lineup starting June 9:
Pool Party Legendary Megabundle: Braum, Jinx, Senna, and more.
Pool Party Nights Megabundles: Ahri, Caitlyn, Darius—each with a Night variant.
Senna and Thresh Launch Bundles: Featuring Lunar Eclipse Senna and Deep Sea Thresh.
Rift Quest Megabundle: Teemo, Yasuo, Illaoi, Braum.
Frame Perfect Megabundle rerun: Ahri and Ekko, with a new Championship Blue Chroma celebrating 2XKO’s Evo debut. Previous buyers get the chroma free.
